First, open up the App Store and find the Search bar:

Look up the program XCode:

This is the version to download. XCode is a development standard for anyone developing on macOS!

Go ahead and start downloading! Continue on the next step, this will continue to download in the background.

Click on this link to go to the Visual Studio website:

Choose the download option that matches your operating system, in this case Mac.

And that’s it! This will also download in the background while we move on to the main event, Unreal Engine!

Click on this link to go to the Unreal Engine website.

Select the link for “Publishing License”:

You may be prompted with a message to log in to you Epic Games account. If you have one, use your log in. If you do not have an Epic Games account, you can create one.

Once you have logged in, the download will begin. Double click to open the installer.

Drag the “Epic Games Launcher.app” into the “Applications” folder to begin the installation process.

Then you can close the window.

Launch the program by going to your Launchpad:

Find the Epic Games Launcher and double-click on it.

If this window pops up on your screen, go ahead and click open.

You will be automatically taken to the “Unreal Engine” screen. Go to the “Library” tab

near the top of the program window.

Click on the plus (+) button next to “Engine Versions.

In order to make sure that students are working on the same version, make sure that it is set to 4.25.0.

If this is not the default version, click the arrow next to the version number to select the proper version.

After selecting the installation version, press the “Install” button.

The default install location is fine, unless you have a preferred location. Depending on your internet connection,

the downloading process could take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours.

Once everything has finished downloading, you are all ready for camp! Can’t wait to you to join!
